To provide a seamless experience, we collect specific data when you interact with our platform:
- Usage and Log Data: Like most platforms, our servers automatically record information when you access Anitroves. This includes your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and timestamps of your visits. This data is critical for site performance, security monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Voluntarily Provided Information: If you choose to contact us via our official email channels (
contact@anitroves.com or info@anitroves.com), we collect the information you provide, such as your name and email address, to respond to your inquiries.
- AI Interaction Data: When you interact with our Anipick or Otaku AI tools, or engage with our character roleplay features, we process your prompts and inputs to generate responses. We minimize the collection of personal identifiers in these inputs and use this data primarily to enhance the functionality and accuracy of our AI models.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Service Optimization: To maintain, operate, and improve the functionality of Anitroves.
- Personalized Experience: To power our Anipick AI recommendation engine, ensuring you receive suggestions tailored to your viewing preferences.

Anitroves is intended for general audiences, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will take immediate steps to delete it.

Our Extensions
AniPick AI is an optional browser extension provided by AniTroves. This section explains how the extension processes information when you use its anime discovery, recommendation, login, and watchlist features.
Information processed by the extension
When you use AniPick AI, the extension may process the following information:
- Anime titles that you enter as your last-watched anime.
- Anime titles entered into the search field.
- Anime titles selected as favorites or skipped titles.
- Your selected genres, niches, or viewing preferences.
- AniTroves account session information needed to determine whether you are logged in.
- Your AniTroves username or profile information when available.
- Watchlist information retrieved from your AniTroves account, such as anime titles, watch status, episode progress, ratings, and favorite status.
- Anime information returned by the Jikan API, including titles, images, scores, episode counts, descriptions, and recommendation data.
You do not need to log in to use the anime discovery and recommendation features. Login is only needed for account-related features such as viewing your AniTroves watchlist or saving recommendations to it.
How information is used
Information processed by AniPick AI is used only to:
- Search for anime titles and related anime recommendations.
- Generate recommendations based on your selected favorites, skipped titles, last-watched anime, and selected niche.
- Display anime information and recommendation results.
- Check whether you are logged in to AniTroves.
- Display your AniTroves watchlist.
- Save anime that you choose to your AniTroves watchlist.
- Maintain the security of requests made to AniTroves on your behalf.
The extension does not use your entered titles or viewing preferences for advertising, behavioral advertising, or independent user profiling.
Third-party services
AniPick AI communicates with the following services:
Jikan API and MyAnimeList
Anime searches, recommendation requests, and anime metadata requests are sent to the Jikan API. Jikan provides anime information sourced from MyAnimeList.
Your entered anime title and search terms may be included in these requests. Jikan and MyAnimeList may process request information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.
Anime poster images may also be loaded from third-party image-hosting domains used by Jikan or MyAnimeList. Your browser may connect directly to those image-hosting domains when displaying anime artwork.
AniTroves
When you use login or watchlist features, the extension communicates with AniTroves API endpoints to:
- Check your AniTroves login session.
- Retrieve your watchlist.
- Save an anime to your watchlist when you select “Save to Watchlist.”
When saving an anime, the extension may send the anime’s MyAnimeList identifier, title, image URL, selected watchlist status, episode progress, and the security nonce supplied by AniTroves.
The extension does not independently read, display, or transmit the values of your browser cookies. Your browser may include the AniTroves session cookie when communicating with AniTroves so that authenticated features can work.
Browser storage and analytics
AniPick AI does not use browser history, content scripts, advertising technologies, analytics services, or local browser storage to build a separate profile about you.
Selections and temporary recommendation state are held in memory while the extension popup is open. The extension does not intentionally retain those selections after the popup session ends.
Your AniTroves watchlist remains subject to AniTroves account systems and the main AniTroves Privacy Policy.
Your choices
You can:
- Use anime discovery features without logging in.
- Avoid entering information into the extension’s search fields.
- Close the extension popup at any time.
- Avoid using the login and watchlist features.
- Remove the extension from your browser.
- Manage or delete your AniTroves watchlist through the AniTroves website.
- Contact AniTroves with questions about your account or personal information.
Please avoid entering sensitive personal information into anime search fields. These fields are intended only for anime titles and related search terms.
Security
AniPick AI uses HTTPS connections when communicating with Jikan and AniTroves. The extension only requests access to the API hosts required for its stated functionality.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. AniTroves cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to third-party services, and third-party services remain responsible for their own security practices.
Changes to this section
We may update this section when AniPick AI adds, removes, or changes features or third-party services. Any updated version will be published as part of the AniTroves Privacy Policy with a revised “Last Updated” date.
