HOLOSTARS, a male VTuber group under hololive production operated by COVER Corp., announced upcoming changes to its management structure as part of efforts to “maintain long-term sustainability.”

The changes are expected to affect several aspects of operations, including company-led projects, studio-based streams, new merchandise releases, and the production of original songs.

Despite expanding its group of 12 active members across multiple generations, the company noted that the current state of the HOLOSTARS business prompted ongoing internal discussions.

For context, the members span both the Japanese and English branches and are participating in a range of activities beyond livestreaming–including live events, collaborations, and exhibitions.


“We considered the future direction of the group’s activities from various perspectives. Ultimately, we have arrived at the conclusion that changing the management structure in a way that fits the current status of HOLOSTARS’ activities is unavoidable.” shared COVER Corp on its press statement.


Under the new structure, company-led group activities will be deprioritised or discontinued. Beginning this fiscal year (April 2026), the focus will shift primarily toward individual talent activities. The company also plans to reallocate resources, which may result in reduced or discontinued support in certain areas.


Despite these adjustments, the company stated it will continue to provide an appropriate environment and support system for talents to pursue their activities.


“Please understand that these changes are being made as an executive decision aiming to optimize the overall business, and has not been caused by any of the talents themselves,” shared COVER Corp on its press statement.


As of this writing, both the English and Japanese audition pages for HOLOSTARS are not available.

Following the news, multiple talents from HOLOSTARS released their own statements on what to expect moving forward. For Gen 2 talent Yokoku Roberu, he stated he’d be thrilled if fans could support him “at their own pace” moving forward.

Jurard T Rexford posted that he feels “frustrated” following the announcement, then replying that “he is in no position to share more” of the announcement, encouraging fans to continue supporting the group. Crimzon Ruze of HOLOSTARS’ ARMIS unit stated that he will be taking a break to “reevaluate things on his end.”.

Other hololive talents have voiced their support for HOLOSTARS. Hakos Baelz acknowledged that she wouldn’t be part of hololive if not for HOLOSTARS JP, encouraging fans to support them. Octavio of the ARMIS unit also encouraged fans to continue supporting HOLOSTARS, especially those from the Japanese side who are hugely affected by the changes.
