Blackmailing A Pro Soccer Player Case

Synopsis

Akagi Ryoko shows up at Kogoro's office asking for Kudo Shinichi, her apparent boyfriend. Conan, trying to grasp the situation, is watching a soccer game and notices the star player, Akagi Hideo, intentionally missing easy shots. He tells Ryoko that Shinichi will contact her later. Ran and Conan decide to go to Ryoko's apartment and wait for Shinichi. Conan discovers that Akagi Mamoru, Hideo's little brother, has been kidnapped. The kidnapper demands that Hideo lose the game or he will never see Mamoru again. Using a clue from Mamoru's video game, they locate him at the house of Hideo's friend and rival, Uemura Naoki. Naoki reveals he did it as revenge against Hideo who broke his leg during practice, sabotaging his chance to become a star soccer player. He would later regret his actions when Hideo announces on television that he wished Naoki was there because they could have scored more goals together. (Source: Wikipedia)
